What every piece is checked against
Before anything reaches you, Launch Your Investing runs it against your industry’s advertising rules. These are the lines it will not let a draft cross.
- Naming or describing a specific offering on any public channel
- “Now accepting investors,” “our next deal,” “join the next deal,” “spots left,” “closing soon”
- Any call-to-action that invites a reader to invest, reserve, commit or request documents
- Linking a public post to a deal room, subscription document or offering memorandum
- “Guaranteed,” “guarantee,” “risk-free,” “no risk,” “can't lose,” “safe investment”
- “Principal protection,” “principal protected,” “downside protection,” “capital preservation guaranteed” — a structural-sounding phrase that is a promise of return of capital
- “Double your money,” “get rich,” “passive income machine”
- Any target, projected or historical return, preferred rate, split, cash-on-cash or IRR figure
- A past deal's result quoted without that offering's own disclosure — it becomes a claim about the next one
- Occupancy, rent, valuation or distribution figures for an owned asset
- Comparing the sponsor's performance to an index, a competitor or an asset class
- Naming an investor, or anything that identifies one
- Implying an investment is suitable for the reader, or for anyone
Carried on every piece
Not an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security. Not investment, legal or tax advice. Past performance does not indicate future results. All real estate investments carry risk, including loss of principal.
